Definitely not a women’s 10. A 42 is a women’s 10.5-11

I loved this boot! But- I’m a barber, and the hair just got stuck to no end and no avail in the tread. I had to, sadly, turn this pair in to Zappos, and exchanged for the vegan version of the same boot. I have to say- the vegan version feels like I need to break it in, this pair I’m reviewing now didn’t feel the need to break in or insert an insole at all. Too bad I didn’t have the budget for a pair of non work boots at the same time or I would have kept them! ??????

I tried the Vegan version of this shoe first and couldn’t stand it. It was impossible to get my foot in then, they had no arch support, and they were stiff as a board. I returned the Vegan and got these. My feet slid straight in, the arch supposed was comfortable, and I was able to wear and walk around in them immediately. I love my new Docs and plan to wear them for years to come.

Didn’t need breaking in, just felt good right away. The insoles provide excellent cushioning. I’m glad that they are slip resistant. Thanks, Zappos, for notifying me that they were back in stock and for carrying a style that isn’t available anywhere else that I can tell!

I am usually a 9 US womens. I had to return the 9s and buy an 8 US women’s. They fit much better.

These boots are extremely comfortable.

These boots are comfortable and they fit well… I accidentally bought these work boots when I intended to get regular Dr Marten’s so I returned them…they would be great for those who need rugged work shoes!

Amazing Chelsea boots. Comfortable and classy.

These are very stylish boots. This is my fifth pair of dr martens and my first pair of Chelsea boots. I fit in the 7s but I normally wear size 8 and decided to buy the 8s so that I could wear my currex insoles which aren’t cheap and cost $50. I work in a kitchen and decided these would be great. They’re much more comfortable than dansko clogs in my personal opinion.

Size and width are true to average shoes, however those with high arches will feel that the top of the shoe is a bit tight. I have medium arched feet and the top of my feet start to feel sore after extended wear. I’m hoping to break in that area of the shoes. The soles of my feet feel great and I can stand in these shoes for a long time and feel comfortable. The shoes are also a bit on the heavy side, so be prepared for that. Overall, it’s a very sturdy, well built shoe.

Wow! I am in looooove with these! They are extremely comfortable and don’t require a ‘break-in’ period like other Doc styles. I’m a 6.5 in women’s, I went with the 7(UK 5) and it fits perfectly! There’s still room for thicker socks. I was worried this style would be too bulky for a casual look, but as a barista who’s on her feet for nine hours straight, I just went for the Work edition – best choice ever! It looks incredibly fashionable and is unbelievably comfortable.

Was torn between these and Blundstones and I feel like these are way more stylish. The “Work” style of these boots simply means way more comfortable than your average Chelsea boot. Super comfy footbed, nice perfectly round toe, tough signature Doc sole that doesn’t look too “outdoorsy” like the Blunnies! Looks great with jeans or even a dress and tights. Planning to wear these through the long northeast Fall and winter.

Love these boots! They fit snug at first but I love the way the relax with wear and they’re a perfect fit after a little walking around.

I ordered 2 different styles to compare the fit (2976 Chelsea SR boot and the Hardie Chelsea boot). The fit on this 2976 would be perfect, but they run extremely narrow. I have read tons of reviews and it’s split about 50/50 regarding the fit. Unlike the traditional Doc boots that traditionally fit tight and need breaking in, I definitely think that the Chelsea boots run true to size right off the bat. You should be careful of the material and how narrow they may fit due to stiffness because this definitely affects the fit. I have very flat feet and don’t normally need a wide fit, but these were far too narrow and the stiff leather had no give and stretch. There was no way I could keep them. If they were a bit wider, they would hug my feet perfectly and I am really sad that they don’t fit. I ended up keeping the Hardie Chelsea boots since they were made of softer leather that had a lot more give and stretch. I can tell that they won’t be as snug and supportive all around my foot, but the SR boot would have caused too much pain after a long shift. If Docs made a wide in the 2976 I would buy them in a hearbeat!

Great boot! Not steel toed like the other Doc’s I’ve purchased. These can go from work to a suit and look/feel good.

I have 8 pairs of Dr Martens now. I cannot wear the insoles that came with these shoes however. In fact, I thew them away. I have to wear a pair of superfeet insoles in these as I do in a lot of my shoes. I wear the black ones in them. They’re black and blue for medium arches. I also own the Dr Marten Premium insoles but they fit short in these boots. These took a little bit of time to break in the boots maybe two weeks. Most of my Dr Marten boots do not require breaking in. I have owned these boots for about two years and they’re quite durable. They’re my most expensive pair of Dr Martens. Please by your true size.

I love this shoe! It fits so perfect and leave enough room to wear thicker socks. The bottom of the shoe has amazing grip. The style is great and my feet are happy!

Perfect fit out of box. I am US women’s 9.5 EU 40. I love these boots. Didn’t have to do much to get them broken and just put them on my feet and go for it. The cushioned insole is great

Wish I didn’t have to sacrifice these as my EMS work boots because they are so comfortable and look great with everything. I can be on my feet for 16 hours walking miles working special events operational medicine – and my feet feel amazing. I am a true, size 5, and they fit perfect with everything from thicker wool socks in the winter to thinner compression socks.

Not enough room for my arches even though, way too much toe room.

LOVE! No break in period required. They were so comfortable from the moment I put them on. I wear these in the fall, winter and spring, walking everywhere in Boston. Highly recommend

These are the absolute best work shoes your money can buy! Super comfortable for long days and the “break in” period that normal Dr martens have wasn’t really an issue with these (did take a few wears).
Reverie –
These are a nice twist on a classic boot I wore in the 90’s. They are super easy to get on and comfortable for being on my feet for long shifts in the service industry. I am normally a 7.5 but listened to reviews and went a size down instead of up. I can still wear thick socks with them comfortably. I get lots of compliments and these can be worn casual or even with a dress. No need for break-in time. These are good to go out of the box.
