The fit was strange – I had inches off my toe, yet my heal was hanging off the back.

I was really disappointed that these sandals didn’t work out for me. The footbed was true to size and felt very comfortable, BUT the ankle straps were way too big and could only be slightly adjusted (maybe a couple of inches at the most). I was worried that they would rub sores on my legs, especially in the hot summer. I chose to return them.

I love gladiators and love aggressive lug soles but these are didn’t work for me. In the Cobblestone Grey (which to me looks, online and in person, like light warm beige, not grey) these look over the top…not in a good way. There are just too many EXTRA things going on. The sole is clunky and heavy and the contrast of light upper with dark sole draws attention to it. All the strappyness and cris-crossing is very (visually) busy. The place where the front edge cuts across your food looks weird (in my case, it makes me look like I have freakishly long toes). They were also a pain to get into (loosening the straps and wiggling in). I can imagine they they work better aesthetically in all black.

Velcro straps are too large around the ankle and do not adjust smaller. Foot felt unsecured in the shoe. Returned.

I’m not sure if I’m going to return these or not yet. The shoe is super comfortable, right out of the box. But they are a genuine pain in the a&& to get on and off. They need to make a zipper in the back to slide in and out.

It’s a great quirky shoe if you want that edgy look, but it did not work for my narrow feet. That was a bummer.

Doc Martens are heavy shoes just a FYI. Also size down! Other than that they’re doing what Doc’s do!
