I love these boots. I wore them out to a show the same day they arrived and they were so comfortable. I worried that they might be stiff and need some time to feel worn in, but I felt no discomfort at all even hours later. I’m a fan of the subtle heel.

I have these boots in brown & black. I wear a UK5 US7. They are a little big, but insoles fix the problem. I’ve only worn the black pair one day & the black is already flaking off around the toe area. Pretty sad for such expensive boots. No issues with the brown.

These are the best boots ever. Period. End of story. I literally wear them (or my other martens) everyday. I have back and foot problems and these, along with Birkenstocks, are the only shoes I wear. Absolutely wonderful in every way.

LOVE these, but they were too large by at least one size. I’m returning them in hopes that they will eventually become available in my size. I’ve had a few pair of Docs. These do not require break in time as some do. The leather is softer and even though they were too large, I could tell there would be zero break in. The laces are thin, yes. But they have to be in order to fit through the hooks which are not large. This is a great boot. If you’re thinking about making the purchase, do it! They’re even better in person. However, do take into consideration that they run a whole size larger.

I think these shoes are super cute, but the sizing is so wacky that it makes them impossible. Pretty disappointed. I ordered a full size smaller than my usual size and the leather bends and cuts into me below my ankle bone. Never seen anything like it! They hurt just wearing them without even walking. Tried again by ordering a size larger (no half sizes in Docs) and they were huge. Didn’t want to take the risk of trying to break in the smaller pair and perhaps still have them unwearable. too expensive to risk it!
Sizing aside, While I am used to heavy shoes (I wear almost exclusive bulky boots and platforms) these are ridiculously heavy.

Size down a full size! For reference, I’m a US Women’s 8.5 normally and got these in a US Women’s 7 / UK 5. They’re the perfect size, and they don’t need any breaking in. I do have slightly narrow feet, so perhaps these could be tough if you’re foot isn’t narrow.
Once you figure out sizing, these boots are dreamy. Can’t wait to wear them all fall and winter long with dresses and jeans. I also didn’t feel that they were that heavy. They feel durable and sturdy, but I’m not having a tough time walking or anything. They’re actually super comfy.

I ordered these and the Shriver boots to compare them. Definitely order a full size down in both styles (I normally wear a US10 and got a US9 in both – perfect fit). I like the styling of these better, but the leather is black overlay on brown, and it’s not the kind of leather you can maintain with normal shoe polish and conditioning. I don’t think these will age well, and with Docs I want to have them for a long time. The Shriver seems like better value for the money, as I think they will last longer. These are going back.

I love these. Fit is great. I was nervous that some people were saying downsize. I am an us8/uk6 in docs and that is what I ordered. They fit well. There is some room in them but if I would have sized down they would not have fit. Look great. A tad heavier than most docs because of heel and platform. Look killer.

i got the color Bone Temperley. it is the only style of Docs that did not require a break-in period. i’m a true size6(US). tried both sizes 5 and 6. the size5(US) was a perfect fit for me if i wear regular/thinner socks. i decided to keep size 6 as i plan to wear thicker socks or add some comfort insoles. i agree with the other reviews—size down if you prefer a more snug fit.

LOVE these Docs. The thicker sole adds that extra oomph. These do feel larger than most Docs; I’m a standard 8.5/9 but usually order up one size to accommodate orthotics. After reading reviews about the sizing, I bought these in a 9, and with thick socks AND orthotics, they still fit a tad large: fine in the forefoot but a little loose in the heel. The leather is stiff and will need breaking in, but these are great stylish boots. Will order another pair in brown.
Note on style: somehow I thought these hooks were like ice-skate hooks, but these are lace-ups in which the laces thread through closed-loop hooks.

I read reviews, and saw that people ordered down in size. I typically wear and 8.5, and the 8 fit perfectly! These are super cute, can be worn with anything, and doesn’t feel like a heel at all. Love these

Love the boot! I debated on getting these for more than a month but I am so glad I did! I get compliments every time I wear them. Really glad I took advice from other reviews and ordered a full size smaller. I am typically and 8 and have wider feet. I ordered a 7 and they are perfect! Mine squeak she. I walk on hard surface flooring but not enough to lower my review of them. 10/10 recommend

I really love these boots. I first saw them on the Free People Instagram I quickly searched for them on Zappos and found them. I hesitated initially thinking I would buy the less expensive Doc’s – I’m happy I went with this pair. First they have leather lining which makes them feel better quality. Secondly my best friend went to Italy in September and she said every Italian girl was wearing these- She said if she had to pick one thing that stood out it was the Dr Marten platform boots that everyone was wearing. I normally wear 9.5 or 10 in most shoes. I went down to a 9 US in these and they were perfect- even with thicker socks they fit. I’m happy I went down to a 9, and the platform is barely noticeable as far as height goes, (2 inches) they feel fine. They say made in Vietnam- but I’ve had Doc’s made in Europe and these seem just as well made. I wore mine with a short dress and got TONS of compliments and all the girls in my office put this boot on their Zappos favorites list- now I want to get another pair… I hope they have the Cherry color!

I absolutely LOVE my Leona Boots. I wear them all the time. I wear them to the office and out dancing. They are bigger than the usual Dr. Martens, but and insole fixed that nicely. I love the platform for a little added height. I wear them with dresses and skirts as well as pants. They are very versatile! I didn’t like the laces so I replaced them, but the ends were too big to go through the metal loops (THEY ARE NOT HOOKS, Zappos!!!!!), so I mangled the ends of them, but the new, heavier laces are much better. You can’t go wrong with these lovely and unique boots!

This boot is the best Dr Marten I’ve ever own and I have been wearing these since high school- (1980’s!) I have in Black and Brown now. I’m normally at 9.5 or 10 and the 9’s are perfect. They are leather lined and the leather looks and feels high quality even though these are made in Asia- not England like Doc’s from the past. One of my friends told me Nike owns Doc’s now- I don’t know if it’s true but I bring that up because I feel like I could literally run in these boots and they would be comfortable- These are a must have for any Dr Marten enthusiast.

I’m a true Size 6 but ordered a size smaller, per the recommendation of other reviews. At first they felt fine as I tried them on but later realized the length was too short and my toes were crushing against the front of the shoe. Returning for my actual size. Do not recommend sizing down.

These run super large! I am a 9 1/2-10, ordered the tens first and they were ridiculously big! I swapped them for a 9 and they fit. I could probably almost get away with an eight! They are beautiful boots, but a lot of boot. They are quite chunky. They are very comfortable for walking!

MOST COMFORTABLE pair of Docs I have ever owned! I bought these to go on a week long trip to TN where it would be cold and I would be doing a LOT of walking. I wore them brand new out of the box and had zero problems. No break in period necessary with these! The reviews said they ran big, and it’s true. I ordered my regular size 8 and they were huge. I returned and got a 7 and they were perfect. I was still able to wear thick socks to keep my feet warm. Will be getting the black pair too! I will wear these ALL the time even in warm weather. So perfect!

I LOVE these boots!!! Fantastic. I normally wear 8.5 in most boots/closed shoes, and have very narrow feet. The length was perfect in size 8 in this boot, but they are of course rather wide and roomy for me but that’s true of pretty much everything I buy, ever. Not really a problem, as they have a higher top that you can lace as tight as you like. If you have wider feet or feet with lots of volume, I would think you’d be OK with these. I will just have to wear thick socks and maybe put an insole in them to take up a little volume. Somewhat flimsy laces which I will probably have to replace at some point soon. The modest platform is perfect, I was worried they’d be too clunky but the profile is really perfect. Really comfortable, no rubbing, gorgeous boots. I have a medium arch, and these aren’t bad for support. I never used to be able to wear Dr Martens (fell between the sizes) until I got older and my feet spread, so stoked I can wear them now!

I absolutely adored these boots, but at $330 RRP I was so upset when mine started to peel like cheap PU or bonded leather. I had them for 3 months, and took great care of them. I’m grateful I was able to get a refund on them so easily. Most of the boot is made from proper leather but I’m certain the front part can’t be leather

Amazing!! They look so beautiful in person. The leather is very soft and pliable also. I was concerned with the shape being uncomfortable but they are extremely easy to walk in without any adjustment. The shoe itself is fairly heavy if you’ve never worn Dr martens with thicker rubber bottoms.
