The shoes are a 5 star. These are my umpteenth pair of Dr Martens boots. They feel great and are surprisingly light despite their appearance. They remind me of my Jaggers. I’m taking down a star for Zappos: I think I received a “like new pair” not brand new like I paid for. It’s not immediately obvious, but the wrapping inside was sus. Like I stated before, not my first pair of docs. I know what a brand new box/pair of boots look like. I need these for an event so returning right now is not an option, but it’s definitely turned me off from Zappos.

I wear a 7.5 and the 8 was huge and the 7 was perfect. The foot bed was comfortable as well.

Love the boot, it fit like buttah when I first put it on but the leather stretched almost immediately but in thick winter socks it was hard to tell how big these things really are. I wish I’d waited to wear them outside, I’d totally return these for a size down. Normally I’m a size 8.5 – 9 and almost every time I try to size down to 8 it turns out to be too small but this time I think a full size down would’ve been fine. I’m literally sliding in these boots lol. Great look though I’m still glad I got them and I will still wear them (albeit with two pair of socks).

Too loose so I have to double up thick socks but these still slip when I’m walking. These kill my feet! I used to wear a Doc Martens all the time, and they were great but those I’ve purchased recently have been so uncomfortable! I wish the manufacturer would go back to making these how they used to fit.

I saw others stating that these were buttery and had no break in time. That was not the case for me. I LOVE these boots and wanted them to work out, but sadly, did not.
