I love the shoe’s style, but the opening is SO tight and narrow I couldn’t even get it on my right foot! I do have wide feet and a high instep so stay away from this pair if you do too.

Love these shoes! Originally ordered a size 8, which is my normal size. Had to return for a size 7, which fit perfectly. Quality you would expect from Dr Martens, and exceptional customer service you would expect from Zappos.

I LOVE these loafers! I’m a true 7.5, ordered a 7, and fit perfectly. (I don’t have wide feet) I thought I’d have to break them in, but they’re comfortable right out of the box. I wore them with thin no-show socks while running errands the past 2 days and have no complaints. I guess the Virginia leather makes a difference since it’s softer. All in all…love them!!!

I wear a 7.5 about 95% of the time, occasionally I have to get an 8 in some brands. I’ve worn Docs since 1993 and always get a 7 because they all run big across the board. Docs are the only 7’s I wear. Since reviews said these run super big, I ordered a 7. Took me about 20 mins to get my foot into the opening. I thought at first I would keep them because once I got them on they felt like they fit, but I noticed the next morning my feet were sore. Toe box hurt my toes too, after wearing around the house, so I was afraid what would happen if I wore them to work for a day. Sent back and exchanged for an 8. Of course, they are a bit big. Man, I wish wish wish Doc Martens would make half sizes. A 7.5 in these would be so perfect. I’m going to keep the 8’s because they don’t hurt my feet at all, but they slip off my heel slightly and make my feet look huge compared to how the 7’s looked. I guess I will wear them with thick socks and just deal…. they are a beautiful shoe. I hope they don’t stretch at all LOL.
