I haven’t worn them as much so I haven’t had the discomfort yet of breaking them in but they are really stylish and were comfortable in times I have worn them. The only negative thing is that they are really hard to get on at first and also to get them off. It is easier now to put them on or take them off but it’s still kind of a struggle that I feel shouldn’t happen.

The stitching on the left foot rubs me a bit but after trying them with thick socks I think I can manage. As with all Doc Martens, there is no arch support. What can I say? They are reasonably comfortable and super cool looking boots.

I wear these every other day for about 2 months now and still haven’t been able to get the high, top front of the boot to soften… I have a lump/bruise on both of my shins because they are stiff and ridged at the top. I would say they take a lot to break in – hopefully I can eventually wear them without pain.

Tight to get on and off at first, but I wore em for a couple work from home days to loosen them up slightly around my calf, and now they are perfection. Easy to wear, and just enough low-key attitude. Great for feeling put-together on rainy days.

i loveeeee these shoes! super stylish, i get lots of compliments. i think dr martens are true to size (i like wearing chunky socks). also, note that these need to be broken in. the first few times i wore these, i had some pain on the back of my ankles. now that theyre broken in, no pain :3

I still have a lump and bruising on my both of my shins from wearing these…. I wear them everywhere and the top is finally getting softer after several months. Great style but wish I didn’t have to bruise my shins to break them in!

The reviews that mention how hard they are to get on is not a lie or exaggerated. I have two other pairs of Dr Martens, the Chelsea boot, and these were a disappointment. I love my other two pairs and was excited to see if a platform pair would be just as great. They were not. I got a blood blister either putting them on or taking them off. The leather in the front has zero give and could definitely give someone bruises. Very narrow. I ordered my normal size but it felt small. I think I’ll just stick to my other pairs that are the most comfortable shoes I own.

I don’t know if age is a factor here but I am 68. I play music for a serious hobby, and enjoy dressing up for gigs. I bought these white platform boots more than likely because I am probably losing my cognitive powers, and cannot make rational decisions for myself anymore. Anyhow, I returned these because I find the Chelsea style is super hard to pull on my feet. Once on they are terrific, but I bought some similar shoes in a platform white tie shoe that I can actually step into like a loafer.

Wide-footed people look no further! These boots are little clunky due to the platform, but lightweight. I have wide feet so it’s hard to find a boot in this style that fits well and doesn’t break the bank. It’s sweet combo of comfort and style!

The ankle was small and hard to fit over my foot. The rest of the shoe however felt larger than usual. I’ll be returning them sadly, The style was very close to what I was looking for.

I’m a size 8 and the recommended US women’s 8 fit as expected. I have plenty a room in toes. Sure, at first it takes a moment to pull boot on but once on they are great. I’ve been wearing medium gage socks to prevent blisters. Once broken in should be perfect.

Love the style but it’s true that you literally cannot put them on. I have medium width feet so I’m not imagining it. I wasn’t even able to try them on and had to send them back.

I really like the look of this boot! However, these are quite pricey and the leather is stiff making getting them off and on a bit hard. You would have to wear tall socks to not get irritation around your shins due to the stiff leather too.
