I am a 10 in sneakers, 8 in Uggs and 9.5 in sandals. I am a 9 in Dr. Marten’s. I ordered a 10 and they were way too big. If you are a US women’s 9.5 and get the 9 for women. The boots are really stiff and I hope they break in soon. I don’t wear them everyday. I did get lot’s of compliments.

I am still in the process of breaking these in so we’ll see if anything changes, but these boots look great and are really comfortable, right out of the box. I’m usually a size 11 but I probably could have bought a 10.5. They are just slightly loose fitting but fine with a regular or heavier weight sock. There is one stitch of yellow thread all the way around the top of the sole. I’m fine with that, but one person commented they didn’t like that. Overall, these are everything I expected (and more) from my first pair of Doc Marten’s.

Originally I ordered the 1460 in a women’s 9 because some of the reviews said that they ran small. I wear an 8½ so it was a tough choice. The 9 came and they were way too large. They were beautiful so it was hard to part with them. I sucked it up and ordered the 1490 in an 8. I am so happy that I did! These boots are to die for, slightly taller than the 1460 but I actually think I like that better, they look slimmer in the ankles which I like. Now to begin the notoriously arduous process of breaking them in!

Classic! They do run a little large. I would suggest going to the store and try a few on to get your size. When you know your size all dr martens fit the same.

These Dr. Martens were surprisingly comfortable the first time that my daughter put them on. She wears them to school almost every day. She does not have to compromise comfort for style… they are “cool” while being wearable for a long school day!
We did have to play around with sizing, and in the end she ended up wearing a size larger than she normally wears.

These boots broke in very quickly although the leather appears to be very stiff at first wearing. I really love these the boots. Then soul itself is removable it is a little cheap I recommend getting a better insole.

boots are great but they were a gift to my grandsons and they each had a different need for the boots at their job, one wanted a shorter boot and the other wanted just a shoe with a soft toe so I would like to return these and find something that they each want.

They fit great. I wear a US 14 and got them in a UK 12. Great fit. I ride my motorcycle in them and wear them all the time. Fantastic shoe. Well worth the $$.

I LOVE THESE! I ordered a 9 (I’m generally an 8.5 but can go 9 when I need to play it safe) since I planned on wearing thick socks with them, but they’re definitely a full size larger than I thought. Nevertheless, I am returning them and already ordered a size down! I am SO EXCITED for when the correct size comes in! The quality is top notch.
I am also impressed with Zappos. I ordered these yesterday morning at 7am, and they just arrived (11:27am today), so just a little over 28 hours from ordering them to receiving them!

Having owned some Dr M’s in the past, I was happy to know they are still made the same way they always have been. I’m not sure if the sentimental feelings of wearing them all the time as a teenager made them more comfortable in my mind, but I love wearing them so much and always will. They take a handful of “wears” to break in properly, but once they do, I look for any excuse to wear them. The shoe is made wide, so if you have narrow feet, you might consider some thicker / layers of socks to wear in these.

I got it for my sister. She is size 8-8.5 generally. I got the size 8 and she said it’s still spacious but she likes it because she can wear thick socks. She also said it needs to be broken in.

No they’re not the same as my 1460 Smooth Green Docs from the mid 90’s that were Made In England… but that’s ok. They’re very comfortable, and while the leather is thinner it is easier to break in. Love the style. The Comfort last used for the styles that are made in China (or somewhere else that isn’t England) do run big, I ordered a UK 9 (men’s US 10) and they fit perfectly. For reference, I wear a UK 10 (men’s US 11) for the Made In England styles.

But these NOW!! I’ve loved Dr Martens since the 90s, and these are no exception. I haven’t ever had the taller 10 eye boot, but these are fantastic. I do put an insert in all my shoes and these fit great with it too. The tongue was poking into the top of my foot really bad and I thought there was a defect or something, but I just needed to lace them up tighter so it laid flatter and it went away. Probably just being packaged for as long as it was made it form weird. Dr Martens are the best shoes ever! Also crazy fast shipping so I got to wear these with my witch costume for Halloween!
