This shoe looks great. The problem for me is there is nothing but hard leather at the back of the shoe and it’s a little lower cut so it destroys the back of my foot and causes a blister, even with thicker socks. Maybe it’s something unique to my foot, but I have worn various styles of Doc Martens for years without any issues. I find the 8053’s to be a very similar look and are much more comfortable.

My husband has been wearing these shoes for decades. His only complaint is that you have to break them in for a week before they are comfortable.

I like the fit, but the leather makes a scrunching noise when I walk. Also, the grain is streaky on the sides near the laces. Otherwise they will be a decent replacement for the oxford leather shoe that didn’t fit.
