I was so excited to purchase the Doc’s, especially being made in England. I wanted blue, everything about them was wonderful, except they were just too BIG! I wear a women’s size 7. I have other Doc Marten’s and they have all fit just fine, but these were just too big, even with thick socks, so I very much regretted to return them.
Easy return process, but I was honestly sad.

I agree with others that these MiE Nubuck 1461’s seem to be about a half-size (~1/4″) longer than some other non-nubuck MiE 1461’s. Specifically, I am comparing UK 8 / EU 42 size to UK 8 / EU 42 size. If they offered half sizes, I would try half size smaller. Going down a whole size might actually work for me, especially because my other UK8’s are 1/4 size large on me.
All that said, I’m not sure I like this particular nubuck from CFS. The color is fine, I’m just not a fan of the texture, appearance and feel. Alas, I’ll keep hoping for a price drop on the pair I know I will like.
