   Was so happy to see vegan Dr. Marten’s, but I ended up sending them back. The quality was great but the cherry red really wasn’t red at all, but brown. These also run a full size large. Hopefully they will offer more vegan varieties soon.

   I’m so happy that Dr Martens is making vegan shoes and boots! I haven’t worn Dr Martens for many years, but was inspired to buy these boots. So far, they seem really comfortable and well made. I do wish they were more red – the color is almost brown. But I’m really happy I bought them, and hope that Dr. Martens will expand their vegan line so I can get a pair in another color.

   I have always liked the style of Doc Martens 8-eye boots and have over the years had several pairs. I would have to say, whether you are a vegan or not, the vegan boots are just better. The synthetic leather is softer than the real leather that it uses on its regular boots and shoes. The boots are easier to put on and take off and they are more flexible and more comfortable. That no animal product is used in their manufacture makes them just that much better.

   Great boots! I had to triple check that they were vegan because the quality is so far above what you see in most vegan boots. They’re just as comfy as I remember non-vegan Docs from the 1990s. I wear them everywhere, and they still feel good after 4-5 miles. Best purchase ever.

   I’m a vegan and I’ve always wanted to have a pair of DMs. So this is basically a dream come true for me. I love these boots because of the soft and comfortable material. And the hardcore look of Dr. Martens.

   Material looks okay at first and was definitely cherry red, almost purple, but creased immediately. Foot box fit true to size but ankle/upper is super wide with lots of overlap, making these unwearable laced up (I think my ankles are “normal” sized).

   I couldn’t ask for a more perfect boot. I have never owned a pair of Dr. Martens but these are very comfortable. They also came true to size. I wear an 11 in most shoes like Toms and skate shoes and I wear a 10 in converse Chuck Taylor’s. I bought a size 11 and I have a little room to breathe with an exquisite fit. Pick these up!

   These are awesome! They are the most comfortable boots that I have worn. The non leather is so much more supple and comfortable. Cruelty free! Who can beat that? I hope to order the brown pair too! And Zappos is the best! I would buy everything from them if I could.

    While I was proud to find that Dr. Martens makes a vegan boot, I wasn’t so happy with the overall comfort. I gave them a month, knowing that docs typically need a long break in period, but found that the front of the soul was breaking in, contrary to the heel. I didn’t realize initially, but this changed my entire posture and my lower back started to hurt. They would be great if the heel wasn’t so hard.

    Pretty comfy working boot, but does require an extra insole or cushion for jobs that require lots of standing. I work as a bartender and am on my feet for long hours. They are a little heavy, but they are very durable. Give them a few days to soften up and break in. Extremely fine construction. Just what I’d expect from the maker. Form and function!

    As a longtime lover and wearer of Docs who has gone vegan, I thought beating the crap out of my old ‘pregan’ 8 hole (since age 14, almost 16 years now) and 20 hole (age 19) pairs was all I could do – till they unleashed the new vegan styles! It’s been ages since I had a new pair, but I do think the soles/footbed are a bit stiffer/harder than my old ones, but a bit of break-in should be no problem. The veg leather of the cherry is a lovely blood-brown color and they’re soft, but no cracks; we’ll see how they hold up to scuffs. Love them so much, they might end up as wedding shoes; who knows! Wore them out to the city over the weekend and was warm, comfy and got lots of compliments. I’m a 5.5 and got a UK 3. Perfect!

    I love that I can now wear Docs again, without them being leather. I have had these for almost two years now, and they are still well worth the price. The material is still intact, no cracking or color rubbing off (as I have experienced with some of my Docs in the past). The toe is a little more narrow that I would like (less rounded than, say, Grinders). I usually wear a 9½ (US women’s), and the 7 fits perfectly, with a little room even.They took a few weeks to really wear in, but now are some of the most comfortable boots that I own

    I wear a US woman’s 8 1/2. The UK6 was too small, the UK7 was too big. So sad they don’t have half sizes. They look like they are made very well and the vegan “leather” looked great. Just really disappointed there is not US woman’s 8.5 equivalent.

    I love these boots. I grew up wearing docs and have been meaning to get another pair as an adult. I live in combat boots these days and finally was able to put aside my fears of breaking in a pair of leather doc’s by getting a pair of the vegan ones! BEST DECISION EVER! They are super soft, and did not need weeks of breaking in. They were perfect right out of the box. They felt a half size larger than marked , I wear an 8.5 and the 8s fit perfectly.

    I’m not going back to traditional leather Docs after these! They are more comfortable from the start – NO break-in time, as the man-made materials are more pliant than new leather. The cost is the same, they LOOK GREAT, and I just walked a mile in them in pouring rain and the only part of me that’s dry is my feet. LOVE THESE BOOTS!

    I had to exchange these for a full size smaller than normal and they fit perfectly. Exactly what you would expect from Doc Martens but in vegan. No one can tell they are the faux leather, except for the tab color being full yellow. I actually prefer that so people are aware that this vegan is not wearing the real leather ones. I did put a insole in it because I left my heel was not supported well but that is it. I have had them for over a year now and they have kept up great.

    I love these boots! I can’t wait to wear them everyday. I am a 7.5 and ordered the UK 6 knowing it would be a bit spacious. I put insoles in them to make up for the extra space. They are soooo comfy with some Vionic insoles.

    I love that DM makes these and I hope they never stop (I hope they expand their vegan line) and I love the red color and the style but these boots kill my heels. I wonder if they are 1/4 size too small.

    I will try to stretch them out and continue to wear them as I believe you don’t need to wear animals to be fashionable.

    I am in LOVE. I have been eyeing a pair of Doc to add to my rotation since before I went vegan, and I am so happy to finally have them! These feel amazing and only took about two or three wears to break in, much to my surprise given the horror stories of traditional leather doc break in time. They are so cozy and keep my feet toasty, are true to size (typically 7.5US and got a 5UK. Perfect!), and I can tell they are going to only wear better with time. Plus, the vegan leather is much softer from the get go than the real leather which I always give as a plus. Can’t recommend enough!

    Great boots for work. With all Dr. Martens, it takes a couple weeks to break them in, but once you do they are fabulous and they feel like you’ve worn them forever. The vegan option is great, very thick material and performs good in the snow and water. Excellent boot and great quality.

    I loved these back in the late ’80s and through the ’90s and am so happy I gave in to my impulse to get another pair. And, I am thrilled that they now have a vegan option. Yes, they take forever to break in (everyone talks about the heels, but, for me, it’s that blasted high top that bites into the meat of my calf) and your feet will suffer the consequences if you think you can put them on straight from the box and spend a full day clomping around town. Yes, the support is minimal and a good padded sock or insole to compensate is a necessity. But, it’s all worth it because these bad boys are INSTANT coolness. They make a statement and are, in my estimation, about as close to timeless as you can get with a shoe. They pair well with jeans, leggings, sweatpants (you read that correctly), and skirts (yes, skirts). If you want an instant wardrobe update, just pair these with the clothing you already own–they really will transform it.

    I love them! I got these as a gift for my birthday and I haven’t been able to stop wearing them. They are something to get used to though, I didn’t have a break in period but I did rub he leather on my calf a little, no blister just slightly annoying. And there’s no cushioning in the foot bed, which is fine, just thought I’d mention it. I wear these all the time now and the way I dress has gotten a lot better because instead of not wearing the clothes all ya gurls keep in out closets hat we love but don’t have the perfect shoes for, I do now. These are my first pair of docs and I’m already wanting more, I’ll be getting the Mary Janes next, that just goes to show how these magical hecking boots turned me onto docs. I’ll never not have a pair now because I realized how great they are.

    So happy with these! I wanted something a little masculine to style with dresses, but also something functional since I work outdoors, and these are perfect. I’m normally a 7.5 women’s, and ordered the 7. They are still roomy, so I just wear thick socks with them. I love the matte finish of the vegan leather! So far no blisters or issues with comfort. They are a little squeaky though.

    Do NOT get vegan style! Preschool teacher here and the top layer peels from a simple rug burn. I want a refund!!!! Not even 2 months with these shoes btw ????
