Amazing looking boots. Soft, supple leather. Exactly the look I was going for. But I had to return because the ankles are SO BIG! I laced them so tightly that they where touching, and still very large around the ankles and I was just sort of flopping around in them when I tried to walk. I think this is because they are a unisex style, and I’ve previously only bought the women’s Doc Martens. I’m 5’4” 130lbs and I’d say my ankles are pretty average sized. These are the best looking docs, sole is a perfect chunky thickness. I recommend these to anyone, male or female. I wish I could wear them.

Bought for my daughter. Opted to find the softer leather after trying on the stiffer version in a store. She says she’s very happy with them, but they require a break in period.

These remind me of the docs I had in the 90’s. One caveat, they seem more comfortable. Love the soft, supple leather and the versatility it provides in how you wear them.
Please note, I have a wide foot, so the width is ideal. If you have a more narrow foot, you may need to size down or wear thicker socks.

Overall awesome boots. Soft, comfortable and stylish…yet still rugged in Dr. Marten style. They do seem to run slightly large, but if you plan to wear thicker socks; they are perfect. Also, I was not blessed with small calves but the tops of these boots were still large. Great for me but may be a concern for anyone with smaller calves.

Do not size down!
Many Doc Marten reviews suggest, if you’re a half size, to size down. I’m a womens 8.5 and sized down to an 8 as suggested. They arrived and the tips of my toes were pressed against the ends of the boots. I exchanged the 8s for 9s and they’re slightly big but I can wear a thick sock. It’s a shame there aren’t half sizes cause the 8s fit better everywhere else (ankle, vamp) but were too short. My ankle slips in the 9s but they’re long enough.
The fit on these is not perfect, but they’ll do until I can find better boots.
The softer leather on these is nice. The “smooth leather” on the regular Doc Martens is a pain to break in, if you ever can, this softer leather can be worn comfortably enough right out of the box.
The shoelaces on this version are cheapo, almost paper-like material. Plan on upgrading the laces if you get this pair.

Love Docs but have had some bad luck with quality issues. Probably just the country of origin. The made in UK are superior but expensive the mid price point of 150 to 200 depending on style is usually good quality from docs. Even better got mine on sale and arrived as the quality and comfort those who know love about Docs.

I had ordered a different Doc but they never arrived. I got a very weird message from Amazon. Kudos to Zappos for trying to send me another pair, but it’s a different style and I didn’t have a computer available to look at them. These are extremely heavy and uncomfortable. I’ve worn docs since the 80s,so I doubt its me. Tried to order something else from another retailer and they never sent them at all, so now I guess I’m just going to give up. Good luck to the rest of you. I’ll miss docs forever now.

This boot is fantastic! The leather is soft and not rigid like some of the other Docs. They are very comfortable to wear.

Great look and fit with Dr Martens insoles as my wife is a 8.5, so we went up half a size to 9. Worked out perfect with the cork insole version direct from DM. Also got her warmair insoles for winter. Both size 9 to match the boot size. She loved them before we put them in! Even better now!

I feel these are true to size, I usually wear a 7 and bought a 7. Great quality, I like the slightly pebbled leather over the really smooth leather. My 3rd pair of Dr martens.

I have not worn these yet. but have another color, same boot. They are comfortable to wear all day the first time I wore them. This particular pair has more of a pebble look to the leather which I prefer. Great boot for the price and style is awesome. Can be worn with many things including dresses

Since these are for both women & men, they are a bit wider across toes but that’s perfect for layering socks. The first pair I recieved had a defective tongue that wouldn’t stay straight. I contacted customer support and worked with a rep who was amazing. I had bought the boots on sale but they had gone back to regular price. I had paid with Paypal so the transaction didnt qualify for an exchange, only a return. He made sure I recieved gge proper credit AND created a new transaction at the same sale price I paid originally. I love ALL my Dr Martens, and I love Zappos as well. I will continue to buy from these companies!

These look great and are quite comfortable. They did feel a bit narrower than usual. I wear orthotics in my shoes, but even then, other DM’s I’ve bought in this size have been more comfortable. After wearing them a few times, they stretched enough to be comfortable.
